Do I need to install anything? ⌃

Nothing at all. SolarCalc UK runs entirely in your browser — on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Open the page and start immediately. No app to download, no account to create, no software to update.

Is my data stored anywhere? ⌃

Quote data stays on your device — nothing is stored on our servers. To calculate real solar yield for your customer’s postcode, we securely look up UK postcode coordinates and solar irradiance data via free public services (postcodes.io and the EU’s PVGIS database). No other customer information is sent anywhere.

What happens when I upgrade? ⌃

After payment via Stripe you’ll be redirected back to the tool with your Starter plan active immediately. The watermark is removed from all PDFs, the daily limit is lifted, and your custom logo upload becomes available — no waiting, no setup.

Is the £9/month price guaranteed? ⌃

Yes. If you subscribe at £9/month today, that price is locked in for as long as you remain a subscriber — even if we increase prices for new customers in the future. You can cancel at any time with no penalty through your Stripe billing portal.

How do I cancel my subscription? ⌃

You can cancel any time by emailing solarcalcuk@gmail.com and we will cancel within 24 hours. Or manage your subscription directly at billing.stripe.com using the email address you subscribed with. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

An additional PVGIS-based estimate (EU JRC) is shown alongside for context, clearly labelled as a different methodology and never given more prominence than the MCS figure. To be precise: SolarCalc generates estimates using the MCS methodology — it is not itself MCS-certified, and MCS certification applies to installers and products, not software.

Does the quote include the legally required cancellation notice? ⌃

Every quote includes the cancellation rights notice and model cancellation form required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, with your business details pulled straight from your company profile — nothing to fill in per quote.
